Vixxen - Unlike the other 2 posters, I am actually qualified to answer because I have and use an AbCoaster which simulates the moves and exercises the previous poster mentioned, but without the back and neck strain, thus allowing the opportunity to push your abs and obliques to muscle failure' The other 2 seem to me are just helping you do a situp motion where the AbCoaster uses bottom up like professional atheletes ONLY do. Plus, this machine is in like thousands of Health Clubs (see their Press page for tons of magazine articles, etc.)
References :
My old gym had a few of these "as seen on TV' things and I can tell you the people in the gym with the best abs steered clear of them...focus on bodyweight exercises for the core like planks, leg raises, russian twists, and other tried-and-true movements like these. Plus they'll save you money. :-)
