Why wasn’t Leno being persecuted like Letterman?
"Gov. Palin announced over the weekend that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is five months pregnant. And you thought John Edwards was in trouble before! Now he has really done it. — "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," 9/2/08
(source: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/06/13/leno-told-similar-joke-ab_n_215261.html )
Here’s a 59 year old man making a joke about a 56 year old man raping a 17 year old girl.
or how about Conan O’Brien?
"Sarah Palin is going to drop the first puck at the Philadelphia Flyers’ hockey game. Then Palin will spend the rest of the game trying to keep the hockey players out of her daughter’s penalty box."
Her daughter, Piper was at that game. So here’s a joke told by 46 year old man about an 8 year old girl who is almost raped by an entire hockey team.
Now where was all this self righteous outrage then?
Excellent point.
It was Palin that turned this into a big deal. All the hysteria is her responsibility, and her "moral outrage" is just a result of her needing some TV face time.

I didn’t even hear about those.
Guess they did a pretty good job of keeping it quiet.

palin was already in the news when those jokes were told…she needed something to put her back in the spotlight recently so she sunk her teeth into letterman…she’s such a moron.
funny how all the people crying pedophilia are for some reason quiet now and not responding to this question…hmmmm

The people complaining about Letterman’s joke are just jumping on the Wah-train. It’s not real outrage, it’s what Fox News TOLD them they should be outraged about.

Because Letterman was vicious and horrible to say those things about Palin’s daughter. It’s unforgivable. And for all the Democrats that think it’s hilarious, would you think the same if the joke was made about one of Pelosi’s daughters or granddaughters?

1. Because Faux News didn’t broadcast it
2. Because radical, not moderate, right wingers need something to cry about
3. Because Limberger didn’t tell them to be outraged
4. Palin needed to be in the spotlight
5. All the above

This is actually working well for Dave, his ratings are up…that is far from being "persecuted"….besides most REAL Americans know it was a joke, however distasteful it may have been, while Palin insinuating that Dave is a pedophile goes to show just how desperate Repubs are to get the spotlight shining on them, no matter how low in the mud they need to wallow.

Our Zionist media controllers pick and choose which people they’re going to allow the public and politicians to scapegoat when all the media mouth pieces are saying the same thing. I guess someone has to take the fall. Perhaps Letterman is a tad more liberal than the rest and not as easily to control. I think the Zionist put out phony show ratings to make it look like Letterman is at the bottom. It seems too coincidental and therefore contrived that he would be at the bottom of the ratings and then Palin targets him and not the others.
