i heard that the ab circle breaks and isnt very sturdy but it looks cool, and im interested in the Ab Coaster but the price of it just makes me a litttle angry. any other ones that actually make your stomach look flatter?
I hope you heard this before, and it is rather disappointing to hear, but 99.9% [Citation needed] of ab equipment will not make your stomach flatter =/
Abs are sometimes used as a visible indicator as body fat percentage, and the old phrase "abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym" is certainly true. The only way most ab machines help you get a flatter stomach is by burning calories (which you can do by running, any activity that gets your heart going). Running and other cardio activities are probably better for it too. But diet is the biggest thing for a flatter stomach. You can’t spot reduce either, so if you want your stomach to get flatter, you have to lose fat everywhere.
im eating a liquid diet aka soup chicken noodle, tomato etc. and bread. and drinkin lots and lots of water but im also gonna do cardio for 30 min. and do the Ab Coaster. help me!
Yes, it can surely be done. 1 inch of belly fat isn’t difficult.
My girlfriend was in the same situation as you, except it was for a job application as a model, so she wanted to lose that extra inch fast.
She tried Wu Yi Tea — out of desperation — and actually experienced results within 1 week.
No, I’m not promoting the product, just giving you a testimonial on what I’ve seen worked.
okay, so i started cheerleading last year when i was 15 and i fell in love with it. I was formerly a dancer so i’m really flexible. like one of the best on the team! I can’t get my tumbling down. I don’t have alot of shoulder strength when I go from my front handspring into a bridge because i just slam down and i don’t have a back walkover or front walkover. I’m working on my bhs with a spot. My back is decently flexible but not alot sometimes i even fall on my head during a backbend :/
my jumps are pretty good and I started flying this year. I just got a lib and I’m working on my healstretch(i can do it, I just havent been able to pull it in the air without my bases dropping me. haha) I cheer for my school team and on an allstar competitve team out of school. I take two tumbling classes a week (soon to be 3) and I really want to go to college and cheer or be on NCA! This is my passion. I weigh about 125, I’d like to lose more weight so I can be a better flyer. I’m really tall for a flyer (about 5′6-5′7) but I’m pretty sturdy.
I need more ab muscles and shoulder muscles for my tumbling and I need to get my back and front walkover and a scorpion! please help!
well for the front walkover, i would try a diff. gymnastics class and to tighten your ab’s i would try to eat leaner food, then do crunches on both sides of your hips, then just regular crunches… then to strengthen your shoulders i would go to your local gym and lift weights or check out there aerobics and pilates programs.

The Ab Coaster is a machine I saw on an informercial.
I got one – use it often. No question it is worth the money to me….very sturdy, genius design. It works all of the hard to reach areas of the abdomen. I always use the freestyle feature where you can unlock the knee pad to swivel your hips. I always hated doing abs b/c you have to get on the floor which hurts my back and neck so I never got sufficient ab work. It is challenging to keep up the routine, but I have gotten convincing results, too.
Did you like it? Any results? Would you recommend it?
I’m looking for an ab machine. I really like the Ab Coaster, but it’s too expensive.
Yea, in the middle of bed bath and beyond, ha. Honestly though, don’t waste your money on an ab machine. No matter what they claim they will never be as effective as free-form situps.
I just seen the ad online, and I’m trying to get back in shape, (after having my baby girl), for my wedding on August 23, 2009. So, I just bought it! I was just wondering if anyone else has tried it, or just got one, or anything really you can tell me about it would be great! Thanks!
I will of course continue my daily crunches….that don’t seem to wrk at all! And, my Bridal Shape Up routine. I was just wondering about the actual machine.
I’m definitely not lazy. I mean, I do a 20 minute routine, plus a half hour walk around town with my baby and fiance, plus stomach crunches in the morning and at night. So, the Ab Coaster was just to help I guess.
It’s a crock. What’s worse is it’s a crock that will gather dust in your house & be in the way.
Exercise of any kind will not give you great abs. Any fat you have will cover them no matter how well defined they are underneath. To get great abs you have to reduce the amount of fat in your body.
Running, cycling, even walking can make your abs look better if you do it (and reduce calorie intake) enough to lose the fat. If you don’t have one, spend your money on one of those 3-wheel strollers so you can bring her along and go walking or jogging.
Watch what you eat (no sodas & junk food) and you’ll see results soon enough.
I dont have one myself but Ive been told they are great. They give you that bit of extra support and make exercising fun.
can you let me know i’m thinking of buying it?
I’ve been using the one in my gym for the past year (golds gym) and its awesome. I bought one for the house and me and my wife use it everyday. I like the home unit even better than the one at the gym b/c the home has "free motion" on the seat, but the gym does not. I think you should go for it- much more comfortable than sit ups on the floor – much more fun and challenging too. You will look forward to your workout rather than dread it.
